McCombie Files Bill to Make Legislative Hearings Public

SAVANNA – Illinois House Minority Leader Tony McCombie filed HB4383 to make all committee hearings in the General Assembly available to the public, including audio and video recordings, for 30 days. The bill follows practices in other states that provide public access to legislative proceedings. McCombie said the measure has support from Democratic leaders and expects it to receive bipartisan approval in the House.
