Man Charged In Shooting At Rockford Convenience Store


ROCKFORD –  A man is charged in a shooting at a convenience store in Rockford.  Police say Lashaun Washington entered the business Sunday in the 22-hundred block of Kishwaukee Street and got into an argument with the clerk.  He then pulled out a gun and fired a single round at the bulletproof glass surrounding the check-out counter before leaving the scene on foot.  Washington was arrested Monday at his Rockford home on charges of Aggravated Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, and Aggravated Assault.
