DEKALB — A Malta man was cited after a single vehicle crash early Monday on Twombly Road east of West County Line Road. Deputies said 41-year-old Christopher C. Walls was taken by helicopter to OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford for his injuries. DeKalb County Sheriff’s Deputies claim Walls had been driving under the influence of alcohol. He was cited for DUI, improper lane usage, and leaving the scene of an accident before being released to medical staff in Rockford.
