Lake Sule will be closed to the public Friday, May 16, from 7 a.m. to noon as the Illinois Department of Natural Resources conducts scheduled maintenance and monitoring to support water quality, algae control and fish population health. All public access to the lake will be restricted during this time, with normal recreational activities resuming at noon. Nearby Rochelle park facilities, including bike trails, shelters and Spring Lake, will remain open for public use.
