Keicher Blames Democrat Policies for Job Losses in Illinois

SPRINGFIELD – State Representative Jeff Keicher criticized Democrat policies on the Illinois House floor Wednesday, claiming they have led to the loss of 71,437 jobs and $4.2 billion in potential earnings.

“Imagine what $4.2 billion would do in our communities if policies were more friendly towards creating jobs,” he said.

The Sycamore Republican pointed to the minimum wage increase and tax policies he said hurt businesses and lead to job automation, reducing opportunities for workers. He urged lawmakers to adopt more job-friendly policies to boost employment in the state.
