SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Tollway is warning drivers about a texting scam. Officials say the scammers will send texts to people claiming they have unpaid tolls and need to pay immediately. Officials say don’t respond or provide payment information because these are phishing text scams. In order to check if the text is legitimate, individuals should reach out to the Illinois Tollway.
