Illinois Tollway and Treasurer’s Office to Host DeKalb Township Event

DEKALB — The Illinois Tollway and Illinois Treasurer’s Office will be at DeKalb Township today from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2323 S. 4th St. to provide residents with in-person access to state and Tollway services. Attendees can recycle old windshield-mounted I-PASS transponders, exchange them for new sticker tags, update account information, and apply for I-PASS Assist, a program that reduces toll rates and may forgive or reduce unpaid balances for low- and moderate-income households. Representatives from ICASH will help residents locate and claim unreturned funds, with the last event returning $20,000 to local residents. I-PASS Assist allows accounts to be opened with $4 in prepaid tolls, waives the $10 transponder deposit, and sets replenishments as low as $4 for households at or below 250% of the federal poverty level or participating in SNAP or TANF. The event is free and open to the public. More information is available at illinoistollway.com/assist.
