Illinois Clean Jobs Coalition Calls For More Action On Data Center Impacts

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Clean Jobs Coalition says more action is needed from the Illinois Commerce Commission and the General Assembly to protect the state from data center impacts. Last Thursday, the ICC approved with modifications ComEd’s proposed changes for how it handles data centers in its territory and ordered a follow-up proceeding to address the reliability, affordability and policy risks that remain. The coalition said in a statement that the challenges posed by data centers extend beyond a single utility’s territory.
