IceHogs Community Fund Donates $5,000 to Northern Illinois Food Bank

ROCKFORD — The Rockford IceHogs Community Fund awarded $5,000 to the Northern Illinois Food Bank to help stock the food pantry during the holiday season. IceHogs staff and players Drew Commesso and Connor Mylymok volunteered at the food bank, assisting with shelving and distribution. The donation is part of the IceHogs Community Fund’s ongoing efforts to support local organizations, including $100,000 in grants awarded over the summer to nine Rockford area organizations and 10 programs. The Northern Illinois Food Bank serves 13 counties, providing 250,000 meals per day to meet growing demand in the region.
