SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois State Senate has confirmed former Rockford Mayor Doug Scott for a five-year term as Chairman of the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC). Reappointed by Governor JB Pritzker in January 2024, Scott previously completed the term of former Chairman Carrie Zalewski. With a background in public service, law, and energy policy, Scott has led efforts to expand renewable energy and reduce emissions in Illinois. The ICC oversees utility regulation, transportation safety, and rail inspections across the state.
