SPRINGFIELD – The consolidated election today will feature a variety of local races, including the mayoral contest in DeKalb and multiple council, trustee, and board positions in communities and townships throughout Illinois. Polls will be open from 6 AM to 7 PM. Voters can register at county clerk offices or designated polling places by providing two forms of identification. Same-day registration allows voters to cast their ballots immediately after signing up. Registered voters voting in their designated precinct generally do not need identification, but may be required if their registration is challenged or if their information is incomplete. Voters in line by 7 p.m. will be allowed to vote.
