Easter Eggstravaganza Draws Hundreds To Cooper Park In Rochelle

ROCHELLE — Hundreds of area residents attended the Easter Eggstravaganza at Cooper Park on Saturday, where children collected more than 8,000 eggs in under ten minutes. The free event was presented by the City of Rochelle, Rochelle Community Hospital, the Flagg Rochelle Park District, 102.3 The Coyote, and SuperHits 93.5. Children ages 0 to 10 took part in an egg scramble divided into two age groups, with a separate area for children with special needs. Families also took part in activities including free photos with the Easter Bunny. The Hub City Senior Center and Lincoln Manor Rochelle assisted with preparing the eggs for the event.
