DAVIS JUNCTION – A 33-year-old woman from Davis Junction is facing charges after her vehicle was allegedly found abandoned on Illinois Route 251 on Tuesday night. The Ogle County Sheriff’s Office says they were called to 251 near East Mowers Road for an SUV in the northbound lane with heavy front-end damage. They determined that the vehicle had struck a nearby guardrail. After an investigation, they cited the woman with multiple violations, including DUI, improper lane usage, leaving the scene of an accident, and driving an uninsured vehicle. She was taken to the Ogle County Jail and released with a notice to appear.
