DeKalb Looks to Secure Wholesale Electricity Agreements

DEKALB – The DeKalb City Council Monday night approved a resolution authorizing the City Manager to negotiate and execute wholesale electricity agreements for water facilities, the DeKalb Taylor Municipal Airport, and city street lighting. Preliminary bids indicate the city could save roughly 20% on water facilities, 30% at the airport, and 25% on street lighting compared to current ComEd rates.
