SYCAMORE — The DeKalb County Community Foundation has awarded 10,000 dollars in Promise Grant funding to six organizations supporting underserved residents, including Family Service Agency, Easterseals DuPage and Fox Valley, Rooted for Good, the Farmworker and Landscaper Advocacy Project, Suicide Prevention Services and DeKalb Mutual Aid. The awards will support programs such as family outreach, medical services for children with developmental disabilities, hygiene product distribution, legal education, trauma informed training for school staff and a senior letter writing effort. The foundation said the program reflects its commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and is supported by the Promise Fund and the Howard and Mildred Eychaner Fund, with donation information available on the foundation’s website.
