DeKalb Co Man Sentenced 25 Years For Sexually Assault Family Member

SYCAMORE –  A DeKalb County man is going to prison for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old family member with severe developmental disabilities.  Franklin Tooley of Somonauk was sentenced to 25 years behind bars after pleading guilty in DeKalb County Circuit Court to one count of aggravated kidnapping.  Prosecutors say Tooley was arrested by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office in March 2023 after an investigation revealed he sexually assaulted a 13-year-old family member between January and February 2023.  The 19-year-old also disabled video cameras the family had installed to monitor the victim.
