ROCHELLE — DeKalb City Manager Bill Nicklas will present a program titled “What Are We Celebrating” on Tuesday March 24th from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Flagg Township Museum as part of the Chautauqua at the Museum series.

Flagg-Township Museum Director Jan Devore said she is grateful for his participation.

“I am very excited that Mr. Nicklas is coming. He is the city manager in DeKalb and he presented this program at a brown bag lunch that they sponsor through the DeKalb County History Center,” she said.

The presentation will explore the meaning of the upcoming 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

“Bill has a following, he’s well known in the community. His career has spanned just wonderful things. Long association with NIU, and now it’s his association through the city.”

Refreshments will include Martha Washington cake along with coffee and tea. The program is free and open to the public.
