DeKalb Allocates Motor Fuel Tax Funds and Engineering Contracts

DEKALB — The DeKalb City Council approved the 2026 Motor Fuel Tax maintenance program with an appropriation of about $1.75 million for street and highway work. The city also hired Fehr Graham for preliminary engineering for the 2026 general street maintenance program and approved a supplemental resolution dedicating up to $150,000 in MFT funds for engineering under the Illinois Highway Code.
