Cubs Shutout the Rangers 7-0

Behind the pitching of Justin Steele, the Chicago Cubs beat the Texas Rangers 7-0 Monday night at Wrigley Field.

Steele threw 7 innings of shut out baseball as he recorded 8 strikeouts.

Ian Happ had 3 RBI in the game which included a 2-run single as part of a 4-run 6th inning for Chicago.

The Cubs have now won 6 out of their last 7 games.

Nathan Eovaldi took the loss for the Rangers.

Game 2 in the series is Tuesday night in Chicago.
