Creston Village Board Approves New Engineering Firm, Sidewalk Funding, and Updates Booster Days

CRESTON — At Tuesday’s Creston Village Board meeting, officials announced that Creston Booster Days will move to October 3–4, 2026, with fireworks set for October 3, due to a scheduling conflict with the amusement company. Trustees unanimously approved hiring Willet, Hoffmann and Associates as the village’s new engineering firm to handle grants, water projects, and other engineering needs. The board also voted to allocate $150,000 of interest income toward repairing sidewalks, focusing on main street and other priority areas. Updates were given on property condemnation scheduled for Feb. 19, ongoing water and sewer projects, new building permits, and the maintenance of streetlights and mailboxes, including discussions on establishing limits for mailbox replacements.
