CRESTON — Creston Village officials are preparing an updated comprehensive plan to guide development over the next 5 to 15 years. The project will include input from residents, trustees, and representatives from the University of Illinois and the Ogle County Economic Development Corporation. Trustee Reid Elliot said the plan should focus on practical, achievable goals. Village President Tom Byro also shared mockups for a new 4-by-8-foot digital sign with a static logo panel. The board is evaluating potential installation sites that meet IDOT setback and power requirements. Trustees also discussed possible funding options for future street and sidewalk improvements through the Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program.
