CHICAGO – ComEd is encouraging income-eligible customers to enroll in its Low-Income Discount program, which offers a percentage-based reduction on electric bills based on household income. About 240,000 customers are enrolled so far, with eligibility for families earning up to 300% of the federal poverty level. The program works alongside state energy assistance programs and local agencies to help households manage rising energy costs and can provide savings for 13 to 24 months depending on the tier.
