Chicago Man Arrested After I-88 Traffic Stop

DEKALB — A Chicago man was arrested on Wednesday after a DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office traffic stop on Interstate 88 near mile marker 84. Officers found a purported 1 1/2 pounds of cannabis and a small amount of cocaine in the vehicle. The driver, 35-year-old Correda Marcus Daniels, was allegedly operating the car with a suspended license and had a purported no-bond warrant from Cook County. Daniels was taken into custody and faces charges including unlawful possession of cannabis, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, driving while license suspended, and the outstanding Cook County warrant. He is being held at the DeKalb County Jail.
