Castle Rock State Park to Host First Day Hike

SPRINGFIELD – Castle Rock State Park will host a First Day Hike this morning, featuring nearly eight miles of trails with bluffs, ravines, and views of the Rock River valley. Hikers can check in at the park office for trail maps, stickers, and sign-in. More than 15 other Illinois state parks will also participate in the statewide event, offering opportunities to explore nature, enjoy outdoor activity, and start the new year on the right foot.
