Byron Reviews Draft Comprehensive Plan

BYRON — The Byron City Council and staff reviewed a draft comprehensive plan Wednesday outlining future development, housing, infrastructure, and recreation. The plan, prepared by Chastain & Associates Engineering, reflects public input from a community survey and steering committee meetings over the past year. Residents rated quality of life highly and identified priorities including road improvements, expanded retail, and more recreational options. The plan calls for preserving the city’s small-town character while supporting economic growth, diverse housing, safe streets, and accessible parks. Stephanie Brown with Chastain & Associates said the future land use map presented will help guide development decisions.
