BYRON — The City of Byron issued a proclamation Wednesday recognizing the Byron High School varsity football team for winning the 2025 Class 3A state championship, marking the program’s fourth title and third in the past five years. City officials noted the Tigers also won championships in 1999, 2021, and 2023, crediting the latest victory to the players’ hard work, teamwork, and dedication, along with strong coaching and community support. The city will mark the achievement by placing street signs along Colfax Street and Tower Road.
