Byron Blood Drive Today at Public Library

BYRON — Donors can give blood today at Byron Public Library, 100 S. Washington St., from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. The Rock River Valley Blood Center supplies blood for 14 area hospitals and collects over 800 units each week from nine counties across Illinois and Wisconsin. Donors are encouraged to reserve a donation time at RRVBC.org, though walk-ins are welcome. Maggie Anderson, Marketing and Recruitment Specialist with the Rock River Valley Blood Center, said “The holidays are over, but the need for blood never takes a break. Setting aside a little time to donate can save lives for patients who rely on transfusions every day.”
