The Bulls scored a season high 41 points in the 1st quarter and led by 22 points in the first half before Houston made their come back.
Matas Buzelis led Chicago with 25 points. Josh Giddey also had 15 points and 13 assists.
Kevin Durant led the Rockets with 40 points.
The Bulls had lost 4 of their last 5 games prior to the win on Monday. They play at Philadelphia on Wednesday.
