Moline Man Charged With DUI After Three Vehicle Crash Near Kirkland With Injuries

KIRKLAND — A Moline man was charged with driving under the influence following a three-vehicle crash Wednesday night on Cherry Valley Road near Stone Quarry Road, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded around 10:30 p.m. for a report of a crash where they say an SUV driven by 18-year-old Issac N. Muhasha allegedly crossed the center lane and struck another SUV head-on, causing it to spin and collide with a third vehicle traveling behind it. Authorities said airbags deployed in all vehicles, and the driver and passenger of the SUV struck head on were transported to OSF in Rockford with major injuries. Muhasha was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI over .08, improper lane usage, and was taken to the DeKalb County Jail.
