SYCAMORE — A detached garage fire in Sycamore caused about $135,000 in damage Wednesday morning in the 400 block of Washington Place, according to fire officials. The Sycamore Fire Department responded at about 11:12 a.m. and found heavy smoke and flames coming from the structure. Crews confirmed all occupants were safely out before arrival and brought the fire under control in about 30 minutes. One firefighter was injured. No residents were hurt. The cause remains under investigation and is believed to be accidental.
