Rochelle Council Approves Utility Easement for Substation Project

ROCHELLE — The Rochelle City Council approved the purchase of a utility easement from Rochelle Hub LLC for $29,094 as part of the Centerpoint Substation project. Rochelle Municipal Utilities officials said the easement will allow for the installation and maintenance of electrical infrastructure tied to the substation and will provide permanent access for operations, maintenance, and emergency response work. The project is funded through electric funds.
