Rochelle Municipal Utilities Recognized For Safety And Reliability

ROCHELLE — Rochelle Municipal Utilities received several statewide and national honors for safety and reliability during the Illinois Municipal Utilities Association Annual Conference and Trade Show held May 14 and 15 in Springfield. The utility earned the American Public Power Association Diamond Award in the Group C division for utilities with 30,000 to 59,999 worker hours of exposure after recording a zero incidence rate for work related injuries. RMU was one of eight Illinois municipalities and 240 public power utilities nationwide recognized for safe operating practices. Superintendent of Electric Operations Blake Toliver and Assistant Superintendent Jay Mulholland accepted the award from IMUA President and CEO Doug Brown. RMU also earned an Excellence in Reliability Award and a Reliable Public Power Provider designation from the American Public Power Association for reliability, safety, workforce development and system improvement.
