ROCHELLE — The Flagg Township Museum is hosting a program today at 1 p.m. on the Women’s Ambulance Safety Patrol, focusing on the organization’s history and local connections. Director Jan Devore said, “We have a presenter, Mary Rose, who has done extensive research into the wasp, the safety patrol organization that actually was started in 1940 in Rockford, and had some active groups, one very active group I know in DeKalb, she’s going to tell us the history behind this organization.” Officials said the presentation will give attendees a chance to learn more about the group’s role and its connection to the region.
