‘Millionaire Tax’ Amendment Won’t Appear On November Ballot 

SPRINGFIELD –  The so-called millionaire tax amendment won’t be appearing on the November ballot in Illinois.  Democratic lawmakers in Springfield failed to advance the proposed constitutional amendment.  The amendment would have asked voters to impose an additional tax on residents who earn more than one-million-dollars a year.  The House adjourned without voting on the resolution, meaning they will miss the May 3rd deadline to place the question on the November 3rd general election ballot.
