Pinch-hitter Carson Kelly hit a tiebreaking 3-run home run in the 6th inning for the win giving the Mets their 10th consecutive loss.
Ian Happ also went deep for Chicago who has won 5 out of their last 6 games.
Jameson Taillon picked up the win pitching 6 innings.
It is the longest losing streak for the Mets since 2004. Mark Vientos had a home run for New York.
The Cubs go for the 3-game sweep in the series Sunday afternoon.
