DIXON – Dixon first responders are still searching for a man who jumped into the Rock River. Police say officers responded Monday to the Casey’s on West 4th Street in Dixon on a report that two males were sexually harassing a female. Officers spoke with the individuals and no arrests were made. However, it was later discovered the males had allegedly provided false names to officers. Officers returned to the Casey’s later that night on a report that the same two males were yelling at another female. Both suspects ran off before they were located on the Peoria Avenue Bridge. One fled north while the other jumped into the river. The man who went missing in the water was identified as 22-year-old London Thomas. Authorities say they just wish to confirm his safety, and if anyone has any information on his whereabouts, they should contact the Dixon Police Department.
