We Care Pregnancy Clinic Holds Ribbon Cutting in Rochelle

ROCHELLE — We Care Pregnancy Clinic held a ribbon cutting Friday with the Rochelle Chamber of Commerce to open its second location at 1221 Currency Court, adding services in Rochelle alongside its DeKalb site. The clinic offers free pregnancy testing, limited early ultrasounds, pregnancy support and parenting education, along with material goods such as diapers and clothing. Rochelle Mayor John Bearrows said the opening comes shortly after the closure of the Ogle County Health Department facility in Rochelle and will help fill part of the gap in services for residents. Executive Director Erin Andrews said the clinic aims to serve people regardless of insurance status and provide support for families in Rochelle and surrounding communities.

“We know there’s a need out there. We want to be able to help this community and surrounding communities. With the services that we offer, especially because they’re all free, we realize there’s a gap between those who have insurance and those who do not. We want to be here to help them with pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, parenting education and free material goods. There’s a huge need out there for diapers, formula, baby clothing, strollers and pretty much anything you can imagine to help provide for your family,” said Erin Andrews, executive director of We Care Pregnancy Clinic.

The clinic currently has five staff members and a number of volunteers and is open two days a week with plans to expand hours as demand and staffing grow.
