CHICAGO – The U.S. Marshals Service has announced that law enforcement officers have safely recovered a child who was missing for four years. The Department of Children and Family Services reported a one-year-old infant missing in 2021. The child’s biological mother had an extradition warrant from California and was also reported missing. Earlier this month, Chicago Police joined U.S. Marshals to arrest the mother at a Chicago residence and return the child to DCFS.
