DIXON – Dixon Police Department’s K9 Vesuc will receive a bullet- and stab-resistant vest through a donation from Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., a national nonprofit that supports law enforcement dogs. The vest, expected to arrive within ten weeks, was funded by the 2024 Fallen K9 Hero Fundraiser and will be embroidered in honor of K9s lost in service that year. Vesuc, a German Shepherd trained in narcotics detection, recently joined the department after completing a four-week program in Michigan and now works full-time with handler Officer Kolton Morgan.
