WASHINGTON DC – The U.S. Supreme Court threw out the Mexican government’s lawsuit against U.S. gun manufacturers accusing them of aiding and abetting gun violence. Illinois U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin said while it’s a temporary win for gun manufacturers, his fight for common sense gun safety reform continues. The Illinois State Rifle Association praised the ruling, saying the Supreme Court also recognized that AR-15s that Illinois banned are both widely legal and bought by many ordinary consumers.
