IDNR to Accept Grant Applications for Pheasant and Wildlife Habitat Projects Starting July 1

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Natural Resources will begin accepting applications July 1 for grants through the State Pheasant Fund Special Funds and the Illinois Habitat Fund Special Funds programs, which support conservation projects by nonprofit groups and government agencies to improve habitats for pheasants and other wildlife. The grant period runs through Aug. 1, with funding provided by habitat stamp sales to hunters. Applicants must be registered and compliant in the state’s Grant Accountability and Transparency Act portal, and all submissions must be made online.
