Lowell Park Road to Close for Major Improvements

POLO – Lowell Park Road in Ogle County will be closed between Edgewood Road and Penn Corner Road beginning today, with the closure expected to last until mid-October. The project involves replacing a large concrete box culvert, widening the Penn Corner Road intersection, installing a new storm sewer system, lowering the road, constructing a retaining wall, and reconstructing about a quarter-mile of pavement. A marked detour will direct traffic around the closure. The improvements are part of a larger effort to address infrastructure issues along Lowell Park Road, including the replacement of several culverts identified in 2021.
