Name Released In Fatal Ogle County Crash

DIXON — Authorities have released the name of the 32-year-old man killed in a two vehicle crash Monday afternoon in rural Dixon as the investigation continues. Ogle County Sheriff deputies were called around 1 p.m. Monday to the 7000 block of South Ridge Road, where a southbound van reportedly crossed the center line and struck a northbound box truck. The driver of the van, Anthony James Frey of Oregon, suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck, a 22-year-old Dixon man, was treated at the scene and later sought care for minor injuries. Dixon Rural Fire Department EMS, Oregon Fire Department EMS, the Ogle County Coroner, and the Ogle County Highway Department assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation
