The Chicago White Sox scored 4 runs in the 10th inning Tuesday night and picked up a road win over the Cincinnati Reds by the score of 5-1.
Chase Meidroth RBI single gave Chicago a 2-1 lead in the 10th inning. Miguel Vargas then went deep on a 3-run home run.
The Reds had tied the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the 9th inning on a home run by Elly De La Cruz.
Game 2 in the series is Wednesday night.
