Residents can verify the license of intrastate movers in Illinois on the ICC website. They note that for interstate moves, movers must be licensed by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Smart tips include getting a written estimate, discussing loss protection, and starting the search at least six weeks before the move.
