ROCHELLE – Rochelle Township High School Band Director Keaton Shumard has been named a nominee for the Rockford Symphony Orchestra’s 2024-25 Outstanding Music Educator Award. The award honors exceptional music educators across Winnebago, Boone, Ogle, Stephenson, and Rock counties. Shumard is among seven regional nominees recognized for their impact in the classroom and the community. The winner will be announced during the RSO’s May 10 performance of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony.
