The Byron Tigers look for their 4th Class 3A State Championship on Friday as they take on the Rockets of Tolono Unity. Kick-off is set at 4pm at Hancock Stadium in Normal on the campus of Illinois State University.

Byron comes in the game with a (13-0) record. They are led by All-State players Caden Considine and Andrew Talbert.
Considine is coming off a Semi-Final game where he rushed for 274 yards and 5 toucdowns. For the season, he has 1,749 yards and 33 TD’s.
He is also second on the team in tackles with 73.
Talbert has rushed for 528 yards at quarterback with 9 touchdowns. He has also thrown for 487 yards and 10 TD’s along with only 2 interceptions.
Tolono Unity is led by All-State quarterback Dane Eisenmenger who has thrown for 2,944 yards and 33 touchdowns. He has also rushed for 345 yards and 8 touchdowns.
Running back Crewe Eckstein has run for 1,544 yards and 22 TD’s.
The Rockets are playing in their 7th championship game. They have yet to win a state title in football.
