Rochelle Park District Reports Fieldhouse Progress, Strong Youth Enrollment

ROCHELLE — The Flagg-Rochelle Park District reported 352 youth league participants and progress on a proposed competition fieldhouse during its meeting earlier this month. Soil testing confirmed the proposed site across from The Rec is suitable for construction, and Korte Construction is expected to provide an updated cost estimate in the coming weeks. The district also began transitioning to new recreation management software, with implementation expected in spring 2027. The board discussed its 2026 tax levy after the estimated equalized assessed value increased 4.3% from 2025. The levy is expected to come before the board for approval in November.
