ROCHELLE — The Rochelle VFW will host a blood drive Wednesday, Sept. 9, from 1 to 5 p.m. at 318 Fourth Ave. The drive will be conducted by the Rock River Valley Blood Center, which serves hospitals throughout Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. The center collects more than 800 units of blood each week to meet the needs of regional medical facilities.
Maggie Anderson, donor recruiter with the Rock River Valley Blood Center, said donors are essential to maintaining an adequate blood supply.
“We appreciate everyone who takes the time to donate blood. Your donation can help patients in hospitals throughout our region.”
The Rock River Valley Blood Center operates as an independent nonprofit community blood center.
