ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Chamber of Commerce is inviting amateur and professional photographers to submit images that showcase Rochelle as part of a photo contest to decorate the walls of its new office. The Chamber is looking for photographs, preferably in black and white, featuring local industry, railroads, landmarks and other scenes that highlight the community. Entries should be emailed to the Chamber by Sept. 1, and selected photos will be displayed in the office.
“We are very excited. Of course, we are all settled into our new home, but the walls are a little bare. And so we want to decorate them with things donated or taken by our members, by local community members,” said Rochelle Chamber of Commerce Executive Director and President Tricia Herrera. “It’s kind of just a way to add a personal touch to our new office and include the public and our members.”
The Chamber said it expects to display multiple submissions as it continues furnishing and decorating its new location.
